The knowledge base

The business knowledge your agents run on: definitions, notes and documents you can read and edit.

The knowledge base (KB) is a set of readable documents that describe your data and your business: a page per table, entity and metric, plus notes you write yourself. Agents read it to ground their work, and write to it only through proposals.

#What lives there

  • Table documents, created when a dataset is documented.
  • Definitions for metrics and entities, written together with their machine-readable form so the two cannot drift.
  • Notes and procedures you add.

Documents link to each other. A document no one links to is an orphan; the Knowledge Base page counts them, and an agent can propose links for you to review. The Knowledge viz tab shows the live graph, where documentation is thin by domain, and which datasets depend on which.

#Why it matters

When you define "revenue" once, every agent, query and chart uses that meaning. See the semantic layer for how terms are derived and served.
